NAQs: Never Asked Questions
Girls drop out of sport at mega rates when they hit puberty, and boobs and periods have something to do with it. Boobs bounce and they hurt and they’re embarrassing. Periods also hurt and are embarrassing. We wanted to educate young girls and women everywhere on the realities of their bodies. Normalise bleeding, and how boobs bounce, sweat, have nipples that poke out, are odd shapes and sizes etc. And also educate women on the importance of sports bras and staying active.
We launched the content series Never Asked Questions across the Nike ecosystem; starting on the Nike apps and then launching our NAQs across social channels. Every season we work with an incredible female illustrator to bring our scenes to life and to add humour to the way our bodies work. We also work with experts in their field to educate people using the right science and resources.
